I'm done!

Well I started this post this morning and was about to save as draft and then publish and then.....click....the power goes out. We had a storm a couple of days ago that put some trees on the lines here and ever since we have been having technical difficulties with the power. So I manually opened the garage door and went to town to do the days chores. I hope that I remember all that I said because I really liked the way it came out. So here goes...

Swim lessons are over! No more driving 25 minutes to and from the lessons. Both boys did really well. I am so very proud of the oldest one. He made huge strides this past week. He is proud too. The little one isn't as cautious with water and did well too but the oldest mini bubble made quantum leaps!

Vacation Bible school finished up last night. The classes actually finished Friday but the commencement was last night. It was neat to see the oldest do his thing....the same thing I was teaching the 3rd graders. He stole the show on one particular song. He is such a ham! I heard that they have winter bible school sometimes. If they do this year we will most definitely be there. I have gotten to meet and know so many nice, happy people. We have been attending this particular church since January or February and have met a few members here and there. However nothing like what I experienced this week. This church is a fantastic support system and I am so glad that I participated this week. Tired but happy!

The boys were kept by my parents this weekend due to the wedding Mr. Bubbles and I were involved in on Saturday. The wedding went off without a hitch. It poured the rain Saturday morning for about 5 or 6 hours and then the sun came out in time to dry things off for the evening wedding. I believe the happy couple are on a cruise somewhere right now.

Mr. Bubbles and I took advantage of not having the boys on Friday night. We went with a friend of ours to a club downtown and saw a band. The band was fantastic. We had heard of them before and have only heard good things about them so we were excited to actually hear them live. It was also fun for us not to be the parents for a bit. We needed a break to be with each other and we had no problem taking advantage of the situation.

Well to keep with the Happy Monday theme that I started a while back here is the joke for the day. I hope all is well and has a great rest of the week!

Happy Monday!

Here is a joke and a happy picture of my mini bubbles! Have a great Monday!

Mr. Bear and Mr. Rabbit

Mr. Bear and Mr. Rabbit lived in the same forest, but they didn't like each other very much. One day, while walking through the woods, and they came across a golden frog. They were amazed when the frog talked to them. The golden frog admitted that he didn't often meet anyone, but, when he did, he always gave them six wishes, so he told them that they could have three wishes each.
Mr. Bear immediately wished that all the other bears in the forest were females. The frog granted his wish. Mr. Rabbit, after thinking for a while, wished for a crash helmet. One appeared immediately, and he placed it on his head.
Mr. Bear was amazed at Mr. Rabbit's wish, but carried on with his second wish. He wished that all the bears in the neighboring forests were females as well, and the frog granted his wish. Mr. Rabbit then wished for a motorcycle. It appeared before him, and he climbed on board and started revving the engine.
Mr. Bear could not believe it and complained that Mr. Rabbit had wasted two wishes that he could have had for himself. Shaking his head, Mr. Bear made his final wish, that all the other bears in the world were females as well, leaving him as the only male bear in the world. The frog replied that it had been done, and they both turned to Mr. Rabbit for his last wish.
Mr. Rabbit revved the engine, thought for a second, then said, “I wish that Mr. Bear was gay!” and rode off as fast as he could.

I warned you!

I told you my month of July was going to be a blur! I can't believe it is almost over! The vacation took up the first part of the month followed by the family cook book and then the reunion. We are now at the end of week 3 and all I can think that I did this week was throw my back out! I know I know...I am not old enough to have done that but I found out at the reunion that it runs in the family. We all can throw out our back doing very simple tasks like picking up a towel and hanging it up....or picking up a grocery bag of garbage and turning to throw it in a larger bag of trash. I, however, did it this time by picking up my baby bubble. What a pain! I was flat on my back for 24 hours. ACK! Kat even came over and checked on me and was nice enough to mention that my house was the messiest she had ever seen it...thanks for that...that made me feel real good! HRUMPH!!!! Anyway the back is better, just a little sore. I got a phone call yesterday morning from a gal that I am helping next week during VBS (Vacation Bible School) telling me she had no idea how to decorate the room and that she did some checking around and found out that I was a creative person and that she was leaving it to me to do! Well thanks! You only gave me 48 hours to decorate!!! ACK!!!!!!!! VBS starts next week! I would like to know who she talked to because no one at this church really knows me yet, except for my next door neighbor and she hasn't talked to anyone. I wasn't able to extract the information last night when we met to start the decorating. I had a plan and was ready to take action within a couple of hours. I'll try to remember to take pictures for you all. Speaking of pictures I know I have been promising pictures for some time now. I am planning on a big catch up picture look at party soon. LOL! I haven't forgotten. To finish out the month next week the mini bubbles have swim lessons in the a.m and VBS in the p.m. Also our best friend and best man of our wedding is getting married himself this Saturday. SO there is rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and wedding and reception next weekend! Not to mention this weekend we need to buy a suit for Mr. Bubbles and get a gift for the happy couple. Have I tired you all out yet?? LOL! OH! I am patting myself on the back here but I have lost 5 pounds! YIPEE! I had lost quiet a bit of weight about a year ago and have kept it off and now I decided it was time to lose some more. I don't know what my target is....I will never be a skinny mini and I will always weigh more than I look because of muscle...yet another inherited trait... but I would like to take more off....maybe 5 to 10 more pounds. I'll try to remember to keep you all updated. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

interesting

I found this on Kat's place.

What Your Soul Really Looks Like

You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or eve a completely different life.

You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. You feet may be on the ground, but you're head is in the clouds.

You see yourself with pretty objective eyes. How you view yourself is almost exactly how other people view you.

Your near future is calm, relaxing, and pretty much what you want. And it's something you've been anticipating for a while now.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust.

I'm back!

What a trip! We all had so much fun, but are glad to be back in our own home. We returned home yesterday evening. The weather was fantastic with warm days and cool mornings and evenings. Compared to the south it felt like early fall. There was plenty of fishing and food. We did a little sight seeing, although there isn't much there that is a tourist trap. Mini bubble one and two had a great time once they were released from the grips of their carseats, I was really surprised how well they did. I have pictures that will be posted once I find where I packed the camera. I am off now to see how you all were handling things while I was gone but not before my Happy Monday!

A couple of young fellers were fishing at their special pond off the beaten track when out of the bush's jumped the Game Warden !! Immediately, one of the boys threw his rod down and started running through the woods, and hot on his heels came the Game Warden. After about a half mile the fella stopped and stooped over with his hands on his thighs to catch his breath and the Game Warden finally caught up to him. "Lets see yer fishin license, Boy !!" the Warden gasped. With that, the fella pulled out his wallet and gave the Game Warden a valid fishing license. "Well, son", said the Game Warden, " You must be about as dumb as a box of rocks !! You don't have to run from me if you have a valid license!" "Yes Sir", replied the young feller," But my friend back there, well, he don't have one"...
